Fotolia on the Verge of Crash ?

Fotolia has started to delay on an indefinite term payments for its contributors. No official explanation has been given for the unusual payment delays. Previously, Fotolia used to pay its contributors in a week or ten days since the payment request has been made. Another big issue, but an old one, is the fact that submitters are not covered at all against credit card fraud. Many of Fotolia's contributors found under their earnings table negative credits with the explanation "Buyer's credit card rejected". I had around 71 dollars substracted from my account for "Buyer's credit card rejected". I even asked Fotolia details on the person who stole my money in order to make a criminal complain. Their answer?
"Dear Christian,
We apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunatelly we don't provide this type of information.

Fotolia has followed the Shutterstock model and imposed submitters to submit a W-8BEN form. More than that, they require an ITIN in order to get Treaty benefits. As getting ITIN is hard and laborious and it takes at least two months I proposed my fellow submitters to suspend our accounts till we get our ITIN. Guess what!? Fotolia banned me from forum participation. That is ridiculous and says more than necessary on Fotolia staff.

I strongly recommend to all Fotolia submitters belonging to Treaty Countries to suspend their accounts till we get our ITIN.
