Stealing the Bride:

A short movie made of still images shot at a wedding party. Stealing the bride is a Romanian game and has nothing to do with bride kidnapping (marriage by abduction or marriage by capture). The game consists in stealing the bride and returning her in exchange for minor goods like: a bottle of wine, whiskey, sometimes little amounts of money etc. In order to get the award, the thief must prove he/she has got the bride by presenting her right shoe. Nowadays very often the bride herself asks for or prearranges the stealing. During this time, the bride is taken on a tour of the city or spends some time with friends in a pub or disco club.
